WHERE I LEARNED TO BE A WORKING ARTIST

WHERE I LEARNED BALANCE

WHEN I FOUND THE PERFECT FIT

HOW I FOUND MYSELF

Although he was a lifelong resident of the City of Radford, it wasn’t assumed Zach Turk would make RU his educational home. He is very clear: he chose Radford.  “I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to major in but I knew Radford University had a wide variety of majors I could explore,” he said.

HOW I LIVE MY PASSION

Alex Fisher is passionate about living actively through sports and exercise.  Radford University was an obvious choice – offering both an undergraduate major in sports medicine and a doctoral program in physical therapy.  The close-knit campus community and the ample opportunities for outdoor recreation were just icing on the cake.

100 FACES OF RADFORD

During the fall semester we stopped 100 students on campus at random and asked to take their portraits. The student who had his/her portrait taken created a question for the next student to answer. And thus a dialogue between strangers began.

WHEN I FOUND THE TOTAL PACKAGE

Cardenas is currently researching water quality and mosquito fecundity with one of his instructors, Tiffany Carpanetti. He hopes to combine his research, his coursework and his ROTC experience in a position with the Department of Defense, working to help prevent chemical warfare.

HOW I FOUND A PLACE TO PURSUE MY DREAMS

After graduation, Rojas Mendoza plans to pursue a master’s degree in International Commerce and Policy. She dreams of working for the World Trade Organization and eventually returning to Bolivia to play a part in its economic stabilization, potentially holding political office.
